No, this isn’t about so called ‘Art games’, but using games as Art.

A year and a half ago my bedroom was completely re-done, paint, furniture, carpet, the works.  This was the first full change since we moved into the house over 20 years ago, everything that is now there I chose.  My bedroom is my sanctuary and it is where I spend a lot of my time, one part I neglected however were the walls.

Sorry for the rather fractured post, I thought about doing a review of Zeno Clash but then decided against it.

Zeno Clash was released last night (UK), although it was too late for me to start playing it did mean that I could start whenever I wanted today. I hadn’t read much about the game, interesting art-style, half-creature\half-human hybrids, focus on hand-to-hand fighting and that was about it.  The one other thing I had read was that it was only several hours long, the quote I read was four.

Many moons ago in the Devils Advocate section of PC Gamer one of the writers posited that linear games often have very few breaks and so they should be played like that.  (more…)
