pinball01I hadn’t bought anything from GOG (Good Old Games) since I was in the trial, but this weekends promo interested me.  Beyond Good & Evil + Prince of Persia:  The Sands of Time for $9.99 (a little over £6).  PoP was a game I wanted to buy and although I have a retail version of BG&E the fact that GOG have some sort of access to the inner workings of the games, allowing them to make them work with modern OSs, plus the usual digital distribution benefits (off-site back-up, free to download and GOGs no DRM policy) meant that I wouldn’t be losing out.  My bank charges me a flat fee of £1 for oversees transactions, this is the main reason I don’t order from GOG and Impulse more often, on larger purchases the cost is spread out evenly amongst the games but £1 can make a large difference to what would otherwise be a nice cheap deal.  So I picked up two more titles (and considered several others) that I had been thinking of ordering for a while, the first was Haegemonia:  Legions of Iron (more on that soon) and the second was Pro Pinball – Big Race USA.
