In the Dark

I did have a post lined up, but part way through started thinking I wasn’t so dedicated to the point after all.  So instead I’ve decided to spend the time crossing another game off my Guilty Games list, Penumbra Overture, and post up a few screenshots.  Hold me…

I recently bought Mass Effect, from Steam’s last Weekend Deal.  I’ve been wanting to buy this for a while now, and I did think about it when EA finally released their activation limit-free version to UK residents.  But I also wanted Mirror’s Edge at the same time, the discount was only 10% and I had been wanting to play Mirror’s Edge more, so I decided to get that one and wait for the Christmas holiday sales to get Mass Effect.  Fortunately I haven’t had to wait that long for this better deal to arrive.

planetstorm01For today’s post (or yesterday’s…) I thought I’d write a little about a mod I have recently encountered.

Angels Fall First – Planetstorm is a futuristic space\land battle multiplayer mod for Unreal Tournament III.  I haven’t had much chance to play it yet, just messing around offline with bots trying to learn the mechanics, so I don’t have much information on how it plays.  But I still think it’s worth a post simply for the ideas.  Several years ago, back when UT2004 was released I had an idea for a mod that was quite similar to this, so when I first read about it I was excited. sailing01It’s been over a month since I last posted about Wurm Online, and I’ve got some screenshots to use up, so here is an update on how life in our little hamlet is progressing. Continue Reading »
