I was going to write about Mytheria, but that’ll have to be put off.
One for the word-smiths amongst you.

Farragomate
The idea is to come up with a sentence, from a random set of words along a specific theme. This is a multiplayer game, at the start of a round you vote for a theme. Such as ‘My boss fired me because…’, or ‘What not to say in an interview’. You then get given a random selection of words, along with some basic connectors, such as the or here, and letters to tag onto the end such as ‘s’ so you can pluralise something. When the time is up everyone’s entry is placed in a random position and you vote for the best one. After ten rounds the scores are totalled up and you get a winner.
But scoring is not the real point of the game, the most fun comes from reading the things other people have put. You can also play without a theme, but it isn’t as fun. Trying to shoehorn words to fit with the theme results in much better answers.

So what is Farragomate?
To be honest, it varies quite a bit dependant on the people you are playing with. If people actually try to fit their sentence in with the theme it can be a lot of fun, but sometimes people don’t even seem to try. Also, some people think it’s hilarious to fit the most amount of rude words you can think of into a sentence. You have the option to search out friends who are currently playing, I expect it would be a lot more fun if you knew the people playing.
People who have trouble writing could find this a great way to practice. It’s not easy coming up with a well structured sentence with limited words in the first place, add a time limit and it becomes almost impossible. Everyone messes up several times during a match, and so it would not matter if you struggle with your English skills.
The game can be found here, or on Kongregate here.
I shall leave you with this sentence to contemplate; ‘Observe! I will express my custard in metaphor.’
